City Police

Greencastle City Police issued five recent traffic citations.

-- At 5:50 p.m. Monday, Beverly Cox, 66, Fillmore, was ticketed by Sgt. Chris Jones for a seatbelt violation on State Road 240.

-- At 5:41 p.m. Monday, Sara Standford, 43, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Jeff Modlin for 53 mph in a 30-mph zone on Round Barn Road.

-- At 5:30 p.m. Monday, Kimberly Robertson, 34, Staunton, was ticketed on Veterans Memorial Highway by Sgt. Jones for having an expired license plate.

-- At 1:50 a.m. Monday, Rai Nakoorakshath, 32, Bowling Green, Ky., was ticketed by Officer Nick Eastham for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone on Bloomington Street.

-- At 2:28 a.m. Monday, Kcee Smith, 24, Brazil, was cited by Officer Eastham for 50 mph in a 30-mph zone on Bloomington Street.

Sheriff's Department

On Tuesday, May 15 at 3:20 p.m. Dayna L. Timchek, 40, Clover-dale, and Doris J. Nowacki, 80, Clover-dale, were in the Greencastle McDonald's drive-through at the point where the two lanes merge into one.

A witness said Nowacki was proceeding into the single lane when Timchek drove into her path. Nowacki struck Timchek's left-front fender and door.

Damage was less than $1,000.
