Tiger Cubs take down Patriots

The Greencastle boys' golf team defeated Owen Valley 154-186 Thursday on Senior Night.

Alec Davis fired a 37 to earn medalist honors. Raymond Stinson and Luke Brotherton both scored in the 30s, with scores of 38 and 39, respectively. Brad Haussin shot a 40, with Wataru Otaki adding a 45, Derik Thomas and Adam Jayne a 46 and Tanner Dean a 47. Carle Basile shot 48, with Joe Kaiser adding a 50 and Justin Baxter a 53.

"Tonight was Senior Night and our seniors had a solid night," head coach Steve Paquin said. "We played well with Alec and Raymond having good scores followed by Luke and Brad. We are still struggling with making good decisions on what clubs and shots to hit to maximize scoring.

"As the season winds down toward sectional we have to improve our focus and concentration to be able to compete effectively," he added.

Greencastle will travel to Twin Bridges to face North Putnam and Crawfordsville Monday.
