Police boot camp program set for June 4-8 at Robe-Ann Park
The Greencastle Park and Recreation Department will conduct a police boot camp again this summer.
The June 4-8 program is available to all boys and girls entering sixth, seventh or eighth grades. The program will be conducted 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Greencastle Aquatic Center parking lot at Robe-Ann Park.
Want to know what police training is like? Campers will learn physical fitness training, marching, team building and flag ceremonies.
They will also witness and participate in a K-9 demonstration, a SWAT team demonstration, a rescue dive and more.
Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is Thursday, May 30.
Camp fee is $35 per child, which covers the cost of a T-shirt, hat, shorts, water bottle, snack and drinks, all of which will be provided.
Since the group will be walking and running, no flip-flops will be allowed.
