The Putnam County Hospital Guild made a check presentation to Putnam County Hospital at this month's Board of Trustees' meeting.

Two check totaling $12,000 were presented to the Board of Trustees' President David Bray by Guild members Fran Allen, Guild treasurer and Carolyn Flint, gift shop treasurer.

The donation will be used for facility beautification with concentration on the first, second and fourth floor lobbies.

"The Guild members have always been very supportive and eager to serve the needs of the hospital," said Dennis Weatherford, CEO.

Throughout the year the Guild sponsors book, scrubs and gift sales as fundraisers. All proceeds are then reinvested into the hospital to assist with special projects.

The Guild was established to help promote and advance the welfare of PCH through volunteer services, in fundraising efforts and promote a better understanding of the services available to the community.
