Mary Susan McMains

Mary Susan McMains, 75, of West Lafayette, departed peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.

She was born Oct. 13, 1936 in Fillmore to Stanley and Dorothy Sears.

Mary was retired from Purdue University and Cassini Tile in Lafayette, and continued her passion of painting during her retirement.

Mary is survived by William, her loving husband of 56 years; her three children, Michael McMains and wife Cheryl, Sheree Schroeder and husband Dan, and Johanna Sale and husband Matthew; her six grandchildren, Dr. Craig McMains and wife Cara, Kelly McMains Braun and husband Brad, Kristen McMains, Jacob Schroeder and wife Holly, Ryan Schroeder and wife Tiffany and Mason Sale; and her two great-grandchildren, Noah and Benjamin Schroeder.

Wife, Mom and Nana will be remembered for her gentle, caring attitude and her unconditional love for her family.

Per Mary's request, private services will be held by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made in Mary's name to the Guardian Angel Hospice at 1221 S. Creasy Lane, Suite F, Lafayette, IN 47905.
