Albin Pond Road to close Monday

Thursday, August 2, 2012
The water has been drained and the fish have disappeared from Albin Pond as contractors begin working on rehabilitating the dam embankment. JDH Contracting, Plainfield, has begun working on the nearly half-million-dollar pond project, which will clean out the bottom of the pond itself, widen the shoulder as well as creating easier draining with a big box culvert. JDH Contracting workers, including Project Manager Jerry Cain (center), worked on lifting a piece of equipment that got stuck in the mud Wednesday morning. The road is expected to be closed to through traffic for two months from Round Barn Road to Arlington Street beginning Monday.
