Crown Street Music Festival already moved inside Sunday

Thursday, August 30, 2012

With central Indiana poised to feel the rain-drenched effects of Hurricane Isaac this weekend, the decision has already been made to take the 10th annual Crown Street Music Festival indoors.

Organizers announced Wednesday afternoon that the annual fundraiser for the Family Youth Community Development Program (FYCDP) Center on Crown Street will be staged inside the Inn at DePauw (formerly known as the Walden Inn).

Five blues and/or jazz acts are still scheduled to perform from 1-7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.

Tickets are $10 in advance (call 653-9503 for info) or $12 at the door. Senior citizens and students with ID will be admitted for half-price.

The music festival schedule is as follows:

-- 1 p.m., The Hauskatz.

-- 2:15 p.m., Convergence.

-- 3:30 p.m., Sandy Williams and Friends (replacing the previously announced but now unavailable Randy Salman).

-- 4:45 p.m., Blues Side Up.

-- 6 p.m., headliners Gordon Bonham and Jes Richmond of Indianapolis.

All proceeds from the concert go to support the FYCDP in providing tutoring and other community programs and services to residents of Greencastle and Putnam County.
