Forum to focus on streetscapes

A public forum and open house to discuss the first stage of Greencastle's Stellar Grant streetscape projects is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 at City Hall.

Representatives from Crawford Murphy and Tilly, the engineering firm working with the city to design the street improvement projects, will be on hand to share preliminary plans and details about the work that is slated to being in the summer of 2013.

Areas included are sections of Indiana and Locust streets from Washington to Seminary, as well as the alley just north of the Vine Street parking lot, between Vine Street and Indiana Street.

The second phase of the project is scheduled to take place in 2014. It will include portions of Vine and Washington streets.

All interested people are encouraged to come to City Hall Thursday to learn more and to offer their thoughts and suggestions.
