Gone to the Dogs softball tournament a success

Dear Editor:

The first annual Gone to the Dogs backwards softball tournament was held at Robe-Ann Park on September 14-15 and was a big hit. There was also a corn hole tournament, long shot, accuracy shot, 50/50, silent auction plus food and drinks. The event raised over $1,200 for the Humane Society of Putnam County.

We would like to thank the businesses, softball team's, corn hole team's and the volunteer's that helped make it a success. Rod Weinshenk, Troy Scott, the Parks Department, Barbara Vaughn, Greencastle McDonald's, Lynelle Cullen of Hleping Pawz, the Humane Society Board, Cloverdale Wendy's, Jon Brennan, Senior's, Debby and Emily Scott, the Sheriff's Department, Felisha Barger, Darrin Huff, Wal-Mart, Fairway Resturant, Ashley Square, Putnam Inn, Blue Door Café, T&T Nails, Family Video, Shirt Shop, Chief's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Supper Wash, Casa Grande, Mason Jewelers, Moore's Bar, O'Reilly Auto Part, Auto Zone, NAPA, Scentsy, Papa John's, A&J Bowling, Allstate, Casey's, Almost Home, Mandy Richardsonville, Scott Pet, Curve's Chuck Schroeder, Kris Huffman and Dana Ferguson.
