Tiger Cubs claim WCC title with win

The Greencastle boys' soccer team defeated Cascade 2-1 in a shootout Thursday to secure the 2012 West Central Conference championship.

After Greencastle fell behind when Hayden Sutter connected on a goal in the second half. The Tiger Cubs responded as Sedrick Weinschenk scored off a Paul Heithaus assist to tie the game 1-all.

The game ended in a 1-all tie, forcing the teams to go to a shootout. In the shootout, Greencastle edged the Cadets 1-0 to earn the win.
