Endeavor hosts 500 members for day of food, fun at Cloverdale

Endeavor Communications recently invited members to its Cloverdale business office for an afternoon of fun. In an effort to say thanks and give back, Endeavor Communications members were inivted to use a rock wall, bounce house and slides as well as eat a variety of foods.

CLOVERDALE -- Endeavor Communications recently invited all members to its Cloverdale business office for fun, food and games.

There were bounce houses, slides, a velcro wall, bungee trampolines, and a rock wall, along with hot dogs, sno-cones, cotton candy and face painting.

"This is our way of saying thank you to the members in such a fun way," Endeavor spokesman Sarah Trammell said.

There were more than 500 members in attendance. Besides the free games and food, members were able to register for door prizes.

"Endeavor is a local, member-owned company where our employees live as well as work in the communities we serve," Marci Hefley, director of marketing and business relations, said, "and we want to remind our members that we are here for them."

Endeavor Communications, founded in 1950 as a telephone provider to small towns and rural areas, is a cooperative, meaning it is owned by its members.

Endeavor provides telephone, high-speed internet, television, security and computer repair and networking services, to approximately 10,000 members who reside in parts of Putnam, Owen, Hendricks, Morgan, Tipton, Hamilton, Parke and Clay counties.

In 2007, the company formerly known as Clay County Rural Telephone Cooperative became Endeavor Communications.
