Drive for the Kids event brings $1,540 to Central Elementary
York Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Crawfordsville helped raise $,540 for Central Elementary with Chrysler brand's Drive for the Kids program. The fundraising event was held on Aug. 21 with the school's Meet the Teacher event, and sponsored by the Central Parent Teacher Organization.
One hundred and twenty-nine participants earned a $10 contribution to the school from Chrysler brand by taking a brief test drive in a Town and County, the company's award winning minivan. York Chrysler Dodge Jeep supplied the vehicles and volunteers from the dealership were on hand to assist in the fundraising drives.
"Drive for the Kids is a mutually beneficial program. We're pleased to support our local schools, and enjoy demonstrating a terrific world class product," said Greg Simpson, sales manager of York Chrysler Dodge Jeep. "Parents are genuinely interested in testing our 2012 Chrysler Town & Country minivan with all the advanced safety, technology and economy features; and we are happy to help raise extra dollars for the school. We all work together for the kids. Everyone has a great time."
Present for the donation were Kimberly Cunningham, Mandy Wells, treasurer, Hilarie Pistelli, vice president, Greg Simpson, of York Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Ryder Eads, Kingsley Hardy, Kayli Frakes and Dylan Gilley.
