Flu shots offered Thursday at Ivy Trace facility

Ivy Trace Catered Living Apartments will offer flu shots given by Visiting Nurse Service from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.

A flu vaccination for ages three and older will be $35 and a half dose of vaccination for six to 35 month olds will be $30. For ages six months and older, a Thimerosal-Free flu vaccine will be $40.

A Flu-Mist for healthy individuals two to 49 years of age that is Thimerosal-free will be $40. Finally, a pneumonia vaccination for nine years and up will be $70.

VNS will accept all Medicare part B and Select Medicare Advantage plans (MAP). Individuals must present their appropriate card to receive the flu and/or pneumonia shots.

If the card is not presented, payment will be due when service is rendered by cash or check only.

VNS suggests wearing short sleeves for easy access.
