The Putnam County Public Library has announced the final program in the Passport Travel Series for the year.

On Tuesday, Oct. 23, Mickey Meehan and Ellie Ypma will present "The Heart of India and Nepal" at a noon Brown Bag program at the library.

Their trip began in Delhi, then across India to Varanasi and the Ganges, to Kathmandu and surrounding areas of Nepal.

Meehan has described the trip as "an unforgettable adventure filled with the people, sights, smells, tastes, rituals, crafts, and architectural treasures of a land of contrasts."

Travel-theme prizes will be drawn during the program from among Passport Program entries. Participants are reminded to bring their library passport to this event -- or fill out a prize entry form -- to enter the prize drawing.

The program is free and open to the public. The library is located at 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.
