Ridpath Primary to host 2nd Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 10

On Saturday, Nov. 10, Ridpath Primary will host more than 30 vendors and hundreds of eager shoppers at its Holiday Bazaar.

Those attending the event will have an opportunity to shop with a variety of local small business owners, offering handcrafted items including jewelry, hair accessories, bags, soaps, gift baskets, scarves, wreaths, and children's fashion items.

Direct sales organizations such as Mary Kay Cosmetics, Scentsy, Silpada, Longaberger, Thirty-One, Pampered Chef, Uppercase Living and Clever Container will be represented. Concessions will be available and a number of vendors will be selling food items, including "Cake Pops, " homemade salsa and even pet food items.

Becky Burris, owner of B.B. Photography, will offer mini-photo shoots for families interested in a quick and professional holiday photos.

"We are really excited about hosting this event again this year," offered Angela Huff, one of the event organizers and president of the Ridpath PTO.

"The feedback last year from our vendors as well as our visitors was outstanding. We felt like we were able to help some of the small, local business owners spotlight their product offerings by connecting them with shoppers who were really looking for something unique, and who wanted to keep their holiday shopping dollars local."

The event is hosted by and is a fundraiser for the PTO, which uses proceeds from the vendor registrations as well as sales from a PTO bake sale and craft booth to pay for supplies, equipment, programs and field trips for the students and staff throughout the year.

The bazaar will be open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10. Ridpath Primary is located at 711 S. Central St. in Greencastle, just east of the DePauw University campus.

Many vendors at the event will be ready to accept credit/debit cards, as well as cash or checks.
