Viking Knitting class scheduled at Putnam County Senior Center

Saturday, November 17, 2012

Belinda Scheckler will share her skills at Viking Knitting at the Putnam County Senior Center from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Viking Knitting is a simple weaving technique of circular loops that intersect and hang upon each other to make necklaces and bracelets at an upcoming class. Scheckler learned this technique while selling her gold-glass jewelry in Alaska.

The price of the class is $20 and includes materials except a nail clipper and needle-nosed pliers, which participants should bring with them. All materials and jewelry will be taken home with participants.

If needed, a second class will be offered at no extra cost at a later date for participants to complete projects.

Stop by or call the senior center at 653-8606 to sign up for the class.
