Gladys L. Zemlik

Gladys L. Zemlik, age 64, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.

Born Aug. 27, 1948 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Max Lloyd and Nancy Mae (Overton) Doan.

She was a 1966 graduate of Greencastle High School.

She married Casey Zemlik on Sept. 9, 2006, and he survives.

Gladys had been a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband Casey; daughter Kimberly Hinkle Brattain and husband, Drew of Greencastle; stepchildren Melissa (Bruce) Smith of Chicago and Eric Thomas Zemlik of Crown Point; sisters Vicky Lynn McCombs of Greencastle and Glenna Marie Owens of Georgia; brothers Max Ronald (Debbie) Doan of Tennessee and Roger Dale Doan of Georgia; half-brother Albert Doan of Georgia; two grandchildren, Elijah Drew and Hannah Pauline Brattain of Greencastle; former husband, James Hinkle of Greencastle, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Delbert Doan.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Fr. Ed Zemlik officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society.
