Local football stars named to AP All-State team

Several local athletes were selected to the Associated Press 2012 all-state football team as selected by voting members around the state of Indiana.

South Putnam senior defensive tackle Ryan Chestnut was named to the class 2A first team and Greencastle sophomore kicker Sedrick Weinschenk was named to the class 3A first team.

Greencastle senior quarterback Nick Gilliam was named to the 3A honorable mention team.

SPHS sophomore running back Lucas Lorian, SPHS junior defensive lineman Jacob Williams, NPHS senior offensive lineman Eric Davis and NPHS junior Grant Bryan were named to the class 2A honorable mention team.
