Vera Jean Cox

Vera Jean Cox, 79, Greencastle, passed away on Dec. 12, 2012 at Greencastle, Indiana.

She was born on July 28, 1933 in Marion County and was the daughter of the late William B. and Minnie (Bingham) Sullivan.

She was married to Charles Lowell Cox, Sr., on Feb. 9, 1952 and he survives.

She was a retired secretary at the IU Medical Center. She was a member of the Mooresville Friends Church and the O.E.S. # 217 at Mooresville.

She is also survived by her son Douglas Cox and wife Carol of Greencastle; her sisters Kay Olithant and husband Tom of Bloomfield and Rita Allen of Cloverdale; and her granddaughters Amanda Cox and Rachel Cox, both of Indianapolis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Lowell Cox, Jr. and her brother, Jerry Sullivan.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Mannan Cemetery.
