Offering pet grooming and boarding from its location at 11 W. Walnut St., Greencastle, K-9 Kastle opened its door recently. Owner Becky Kerr is a certified pet groomer and graduate of Animal Arts Academy. Kerr already owns a business in Rockville but said she saw the need for a professional pet groomer in the Greencastle area. K-9 Kastle's services are normally available by appointment only at 562-2331 or 653-3437. The first and third Saturday of each month features the Royal Dogwash. Customers may walk in from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on those days. The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed the new business to town with a Tuesday, Dec. 11 ribbon cutting. Those in attendance included (from left) Bret Hurley of Bret Hurley Construction, Kerr's mother Marla Miner, Kerr, Christa Campbell of Teachers Credit Union, Keith Archer of DePauw University and Chamber Executive Director Tammy Amor.
