John R. Arnold

John R. Arnold, 72, of Ladoga, passed away on Thursday morning, Jan. 10, 2013 at Hickory Creek at Sunset at Greencastle.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1940 at Greencastle to Wilbert H. and Winnie L. Knauer Arnold. They preceded him in death.

John graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1958, and most of his life he was a farmer.

He also worked at RR Donnelley and Sons, and Cline Farms.

Survivors include four sons, John (Laura) Arnold at New Ross, Larry (Karen) Arnold of Wallace, Billy (Shelley Arnold of Crawfordsville, and Michael (Marilyn) Arnold of Colorado; a daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Hughes, of Crawfordsville, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbur of Alabama, and Sam of Florida; three sisters, Alice Young of Greenwood, Evelyn Everett of Greenwood and Sara Huggler of Danville.

A son, Terry, and four sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday Jan. 12 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington St., Ladoga. Visitation will be on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.

Burial will be at Ladoga Cemetery. Rev. Charles Hughes will officiate.
