Parks Department sets Valentines craft time event for Feb. 7

Local youngsters are invited to join the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department in making their very own Valentines, cards, bags and more.

The creative event is set for Thursday, Feb. 7 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Tzouanakis Intermediate School. Fee is $5 per child.

"We have emptied the craft closet for this one," assistant director Troy Scott said. "We will have a little bit of everything on the table to help make your creations."

Youngsters can make a card for that special someone, decorate a bag or box for their own Valentines card collection, make a gift or create a decoration.

Pre-registrations are requested, there must be at least six pre-registered to hold this event, Scott said.

Registration forms are available at City Hall, Greencastle Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Park Firebaugh's office, the Putnam County Public Library and the Putnam County Museum.
