Charles Holland, 82, Greencastle, died Sunday at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital at Danville.

He was born at Roachdale, he was the son of Charles N. and Loie F. (Woodworth) Holland.

He was a graduate of Roachdale High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Indianapolis. He was a member of Roachdale VFW. He owned and operated Morton Garage for 37 years and formerly worked for Foxworthy Ford in Indianapolis.

He married Pat Hoskins in 1956 at Danville. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Chuck Holland, Morton, Terry Anderson and Richard Anderson, both of Indianapolis, two daughters, Sandi Bumgardner and husband Danny, Greencastle, and Diane Stone, Indianapolis; two brothers, James Holland, Roachdale, and George Holland, St. Antonio, Texas, five sisters, Florence Donavan, California, Hazel Poore, Florida, Grace Henderson, Arizona, June Holland, Maryland, and Mildred Casey, Mooresville; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers Glenn and Thomas Holland and sister Mae Stewart.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale.

Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Gardens Cemetery near Zionsville.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
