Rev. Carl C. Hansen, 88, Cloverdale, died Saturday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Carl Christian and Anna Christina (Neilson) Hansen.

He was a retired minister with the Cloverdale Church of the Nazarene and had also served at State Line, Logansport and Bicknell. He was a member of Cloverdale Church of the Nazarene.

He married Vivian Hilda Troxell on May 30, 1940. She died Oct. 16, 1999.

Surviving are a daughter, Vivian Evangeline Strahley, Terre Haute; a son, Rev. Carlton D. Hansen and wife Betty, Liberty Township, Ohio; two sisters, Ethel Hansen, Indianapolis, and June Hansen, St. Louis; five grandchildren, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters Remore Blake, Elinore Hansen, Lillian Hansen and Rosemary Miller, and brothers William Hansen, Kai Hansen and Gorden Hansen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cloverdale Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ross Kirkman officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Attica.

Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, is handling arrangements.
