Violet Wanetta "Vi" Fouty Bristow, 83, Lawrenceburg, Ky., formerly of Reelsville and Avon, died Friday at Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Ky.

Born in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Edward and Adeline (Drake) Fouty. She married Wilford Henry Bristow who preceded her in death.

She was a former nurse's aide and a member of the Avon Community Church of the Nazarene and also attended church in Greencastle. She attended the Sand Spring Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Ky. where she was a member of the Dorcas/Homemakers Sun-day School Class, the Swingin' Saints Choir, the Athletic Angels and participated in the Christmas program.

Survivors include two daughters, Darla Jean Renner and husband Bob, Lawrenceburg, Ky., and Janet Miller and husband Bob, Plainfield; five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Bud Fouty, and sisters May Bea, Rose Booth, Mart Ratcliff and Eva Phugh.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Conkle Funeral Home in Avon with Rev. Doug Litsey officiating. Burial will follow in West Ridge Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
