James William Perkins, 76, Roachdale, died Wednesday morning at his residence.

Born in Hadley, he was the son of Ottie and Mary Lula (Eggers) Perkins.

He had been employed at Crestline Windows for 30 years. He attended Family of God Church in Roachdale.

He married Jean Baker on Jan. 12, 1957 at Newport. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, James W. Perkins Jr. and wife Carol, New Market; a daughter, Cindy Castille, Roachdale; two brothers, John Perkins and wife Ila, Roachdale, and Donald Perkins and wife Sharon, Linden; two sisters, Edith Norton, Crawfordsville, and Juanita Long, Ladoga; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services with visitation are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Roachdale Cemetery with Pastor Larry Phillips officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
