Charles D. "Don" Hendrich, 77, Fillmore, died Tuesday.

Born in Putnam County, he was the son of Charles and Onald Olive Hendrich.

He graduated from Bainbridge High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was former owner of Hendrich Construction and was a member of Fillmore Masonic Lodge and O.E.S., of which he held various offices.

Surviving are his wife, Lou Ella Smith Henrich; three sons, David Zenor and wife Margie, Fairfax, Va., Bob Hendrich and wife Sherri, Colorado, and Jon Hendrich and wife Sandra, Brazil; a brother, Clarke Hendrich; two sisters, Josephine Denovchek, Warren, Ohio, and Crystal Sisson, Vacaville, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Charles Merril Hendrich.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Friday.
