Virginia Marie Walbring, 89, Terre Haute, formerly of Greencastle, died Monday.

Born in Hall, she was the daughter of Robert Guy and Elsie May (Welty) Wooden.

She was a 1935 graduate of Cloverdale High School.

She married Marvin A. Walbring, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are son, David Walbring and wife Nancy, Rosedale; two daughters, May Ann Brannan and husband Robert, Brazil, and Dina Thornburg and husband Daryl, Pittsboro, N.C.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son William Walbring, three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Paul Bowen officiating. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
