Gordon L. Butts, 68, Carmel, died Wednesday.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of Robert L. and Fern (Sutherlin) Butts.

A graduate of Greencastle High School, he attended DePauw University. A U.S. Navy veteran, he worked as a credit analyst for Boehringer-Mannheim for eight years, retiring in 1998.

He married Sandra L. Hendrich on Dec. 29, 1959. She died Nov. 8, 1997.

Surviving are a daughter, Tracey A. Aiken and husband Corky; sister Jean Rossok and husband John; three grandchildren, a niece, nephew and two great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife and infant son Tod L. Butts.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday.
