Theodosia "Tedo" Ella Beeson Miller, 95, Greencastle, died Friday at Mill Pond Health Center, Greencastle.

Born in Galveston, Ind., she was the daughter of Frank and Edna (Symons) Beeson.

She married Forrest Thomas Miller on Feb. 28, 1931.

During his career as a forester for the state, the couple lived on state forest properties, including Henryville, Brownstown, and North Vernon. After her husband joined the Purdue University Extension Service, the family lived in Rockville until 1959 before relocating to Greencastle.

She was a graduate of Galveston High School, and was a member and former board member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church in Greencastle. She was also a member of Bethel Circle at Gobin, the former West Madison Home Economics Club, and the Glenview Village Condominium Association.

Survivors include sons Hugh Miller and wife Anita, Greencastle, and Mark Miller and wife Janet Howe, Chicago; adopted niece Charlene Dillard and husband Ray, Los Altos, Calif.; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Kent Charles Miller, and an infant granddaughter.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.

Visitation is from noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Gobin United Methodist Church, 307 Simpson St., Greencastle; the scholarship fund of the Purdue Club in Putnam County, in care of Jerry Williams, 507 Ritter Ave., Greencastle; or the donor's favorite charity.
