Robert S. Foy, 59, Crawfordsville, died Saturday at his residence.
Born in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Donald S. And Minnie A. (Hancock) Foy.
A 1965 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, he had served in the U.S. Air Force, and 16 years in the Indiana National Guard at Crawfordsville, retiring in 1992. He was a member of New Market United Methodist Church and had been a member of Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Indiana Bell Pioneers.
He had worked for Indiana Bell and Ameritech as a telephone installer for 26 years, and worked for Johnson Controls in maintenance for five years. He last worked as a custodian at Southmont High School for three years.
He married Sue L. Pruitt on Aug. 26, 1972 at New Market. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Brian Foy and wife Georgia, Greencastle; a daughter, Marsha Foy, Crawfordsville; his father, Crawfordsville; and brother Roger Foy, Crawfordsville.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents Stephen and Mildred Foy.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with John Van Nuys and Aaron Hobbs officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
