Gary Luther Huber, 57, Greencastle, died Thursday at his residence.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of Arvine A. and Ellen (Steele) Huber.

He graduated from Greencastle High School in 1966 and from Sam's Technical Institute, part of ITT Institute, in 1968.

He also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve on active duty in 1970-71.

He worked in the family business, A.A. Huber and Sons, Greencastle, eventually expanding it to contracts in other cities. He served as job superintendent, design project manager and CEO of the company. He was also co-owner of Tenth Street Self Storage, Greencastle.

He was appointed to Greencastle's Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development and also coached youth league soccer. He was also a member of the Central Indiana Region Porsche Club of America.

He married Linda Buis on April 15, 1972. She survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter Lauren, Bloomington; a son Derek, Greencastle; a sister Nancy Huber; a brother Fred Huber and wife Elaine; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Alan Small officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
