Wayne L. McKamey, 82, Cloverdale, died Wednesday at Putnam County Hospital.
Born in Putnam County, he was the son of Ira C. and Lola Merle (Coffman) McKamey.
He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in World War II.
A carpenter, he was a member of the Carpenter's Union, in addition to the Mt. Meridian Church of Christ, and the Hurst-Collins Post No. 281 American Legion, Cloverdale.
Survivors include a daughter Virginia Tyree, Tennessee; two sons John McKamey and wife Maria, Franklin, Tenn., and Darrell McKamey, Texas; sister Delores Barr and husband Lowell, Indianapolis; brothers Calvin K. McKamey and wife Jean, Greencastle, Renos McKamey and wife Mary, Cloverdale, and Herchel McKamey and wife Diane, Huntington; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Anita McKamey, and sisters Ila Joyce McKamey, Wanda Jean Collins, and Trillis N. Collier.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Brother Lowell Barr officiating. Burial will be at Cloverdale Cemetery.
Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
