Phillips leaving GHS for Eminence

Greencastle High School Principal Susan Phillips will finish the school year at the helm of GHS, but she will become superintendent for Eminence Community Schools as of June 1.

Greencastle Supt. Robert Green confirmed that Phillips has submitted her resignation. She will remain with the high school through commencement ceremonies.

Until a new principal can be selected, Green said, assistant principal Russ Hesler will act in that capacity.

The school board is expected to take action on Phillips' resignation at its next meeting, set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 10 in the Miller Education Center, 522 Anderson St. That meeting is open to the public.
