Good music and good food will come together for two special events to raise funds for the Celebrate "4" citywide Fourth of July celebration in Robe-Ann Park.

On Saturday, July 1 at Bingo McCoy's Rockhouse Brew and Grill, the band Forever The Tribute will perform from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. All donations and admission will go to the Celebrate "4" event.

On Monday, July 3 at Old Topper Steakhouse, the band Frequency will be featured with special guest Landon Keller on acoustic from 8:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. A $5 charge at the door will be given to the celebration.

Mayor Nancy Michael said she appreciates the efforts of the two businesses, which came up with the fundraisers on their own.

"We're just trying to give back to the community," said Steve Gaebes, chef at Old Topper. "The community has been so good to us. And it's an old tradition that's gone by the wayside. We're just wanted to revive that tradition."

Rick Rhine of the Rockhouse is also enthusiastic about raising funds for the city's fireworks celebration.

"Being one of the new businesses in town, we feel it's time to step up and help out in the community. The fireworks celebration was the first thing to come along," Rhine said.

He also noted that a couple of local guitar players will open the evening's entertainment.

The Rockhouse is located at 18 S. Jackson St.

Old Topper is located on South Main Street.
