WABASH -- The DePauw University men's golf squad shot a 614, finishing seven strokes behind Illinois Wesleyan in second place at the Manchester Fall Invitational during weekend action.

Jordan Voss, Josh Abrams and Peter Haller each shot a 152 to tie for fourth place while Jon Clevenger had a 159 to tie for 19th. Matt Calby also had a 161 to tie for 22nd.

The Tigers compete in the Denison Invitational on Oct. 7-8.

In women's golf action, the Tigers shot a first-round 317 on Sunday and lead the DePauw Small College Classic by nine strokes over Oglethorpe.

Sarah Gates and Ali Murtaugh both have 77's through the first round while Nicole Garza has an 80. Gates and Murtaugh are tied for the lead with Oglethorpe's Julia Gates and Franklin's Katie Tewell.

Other scores for the Tigers include Kristen Kriegshauser with an 83 and Erin Kielty with an 84.

Playing as individuals, DePauw's Jill Schneider has an 89 while Kathleen Belden has a 92. Former South Putnam standout Amanda Bollman also has a 95, having shot a 48 on the front-nine and a 47 on the back.

The second round begins today at the Deer Creek Golf Course.
