Cloverdale traveling to Owen Valley Friday

Cloverdale High School's football team will hit the road on Friday night to face the Owen Valley Patriots.

The Clovers (2-5, 1-4 WCC) fell to Greencastle last week, 41-14.

Cloverdale is currently averaging 13.7 points per game on offense while surrendering an even 21 points per game.

They will face an Owen Valley squad that scores 23.7 points per game while also giving up 21 points each game on defense.

The Patriots (5-2) have had a pair of close calls over the past two weeks.

After losing consecutive games to Edgewood and Northview, Owen Valley won its next two, a 14-6 double-overtime win over Sullivan two weeks ago and a 14-13 squeaker over West Vigo.

The Clovers and the Patriots will hook up on Friday night in Spencer with game time scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
