DePauw volleyball goes 3-1 over weekend

DANVILLE, Ky. -- DePauw University's volleyball team improved to 15-12 overall, winning three out of four matches this weekend at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Cofnerence Divisional.

Rhodes came away with a win over the Tigers in the first match Saturday, taking DePauw down in four games, 22-30, 30-27, 30-18, 30-23.

DePauw came back to win its second match Saturday in a three-game win over Sewanee, 30-14, 30-17, 30-15.

In the Rhodes match, Kim Hamer had 12 kills and four blocks for the Tigers, and Sarah Drew had 16 digs.

The Tigers came away with a two-match sweep Sunday.

They opened the day with a three-game win over Oglethorpe, 30-17, 30-17, 30-11 before downing Centre 30-26, 22-30, 30-32, 30-22, 15-11.

Statistics from the Tigers' match with Sewanee Saturday and both matches from Sunday were not available at press time.

DePauw will be in action again Thursday when it travels to Rose-Hulman.
