DePauw women earn conference victory on soccer field Saturday

DANVILLE, Ky. -- Mary Beth Robinson scored on goal in each half of the DePauw University women's soccer team's 2-0 conference win at Centre Saturday.

The Tigers moved to 10-4 overall and 5-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with the victory while the Colonels fell to 12-5 for the season and 4-3 in the SCAC.

Robinson's first goal came at the 14:33 mark in the first half on an assist from Sarah Hile, and her second goal came courtesy of an assist by Lindsay Lund at 72:29.

The Tigers outshot Centre 13-6 and had a 7-2 edge in corners.

Brooke Shipley had three saves for DPU while Rosie McAuley had four for the Colonels.

The Tigers will be in action again on Friday when they host Hendrix.
