DePauw swimming, diving teams winThe DePauw University men's swimming and diving team improved to 3-1 on the season, and the women improved to 2-1 with wins over Centre at home Saturday.

In men's action, the Tigers picked up victories in 13 events.

The 200-yard relay team of Gib Wallace, Dan DeGeus, Robert Alexander and Greg Nowak picked up a win for the Tigers, finishing first with a time of one minute, 38.16 seconds.

Nowak, John Cook, Steve Klabak and Kyle Kerrigan earned another relay win in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 1:27.86.

In the 1,000-yard freestyle, Charlie Boehme of DPU earned a win with a time of 10:35.10, and Alexander picked up a win in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.24.

Alexander also earned a win in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 47.89, as well as a win in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.27.

Michael Young gave DePauw its fourth win of the night with a time of 56.46 in the 100-yard backstroke. DeGeus won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:02.65, and Matt Fosheim picked up a win in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.87.

Rounding out the swimming victories for the Tiger men was Alex Troxel, who picked up a win in the 200-yard intermediate with a time of 2:04.59.

Adam Wishart of the Tigers picked up a pair of diving wins, finishing first in both the one-meter dive and the three-meter dive.

The DPU women tallied 11 first-place finishes against Centre.

Katie Doogan won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.17. Doogan also finished first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:14.90 and won the 200-yard intermediate with a time of 2:13.55.

Lindsey Riggs finished first in the 100-yard backstroke at the 1:03.35 mark.

Amanda Stier captured a pair of wins for the Tigers. She won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:11.77 and finished first in the 100-yard

In the 200-yard butterfly, Amanda Stier took the win with with a time of 2:11.77, and Maddison Hamil won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.74.

In diving, Amy Ratliff captured wins in both the one-meter dive and the three-meter dive.

The DPU men and women will be in action again on Saturday when they compete in the Wabash Invitational.
