Coat drive a success

Friday, November 24, 2006

The drive began on Oct. 15 and concluded one month later.

And through the efforts of three local organizations, nearly 370 coats were collected for the annual Coats for Kids drive.

The coats were collected for needy adults and children by the Putnam County Youth Development Commission, the Putnam County Senior Center, and Harmless Laundry.

The coats are currently at the senior center after receiving a thorough washing at Harmless Laundry.

Distribution of the coats began Tuesday.
