Library book sales good source of seasonal treasures

Friday, December 1, 2006

Friends of the Library invite the public to two holiday book sales at the Putnam County Public Library at 103 East Poplar Street in Greencastle from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

The first is the Friends' regular sale in the basement of the older section of the library. The second is a Holiday Silent Auction in the Kiwanis Room. Highest bidders will be announced at 5 p.m.

Exceptional and affordable holiday gifts will be available. Gift-quality books including children's books, coffee table books, recently published hardback and paperback books will be featured at the sale. Kids can shop for a great gift for parents, siblings and grandparents, and adults can find something for that special person, too.

Proceeds from book sales support programs and staff and contribute towards the purchase of special items which the Public Library needs.
