NEW MARKET -- The North Putnam girls varsity basketball team faced the Southmont Mounties Tuesday night, winning 56-43 on the road.

The Cougars were led by senior Brook Miller with 20 points. She was followed up by Shawna Johnston with 10 points.

North Putnam out rebounded the Mounties, 42-29 on way to the victory

In junior varsity action, North Putnam beat Southmont, 26-18, with Ashley Stigall leading the way with 12 points.

Next game - The Cougars will next be in action Friday as they travel to Cloverdale at 6 p.m. The Junior varsity will travel to Cloverdale Thursday to face the Clovers.

Greencastle falls

to eminence

The Greencastle girls varsity basketball squad lost their 15th game of the season, third in a row, to the Eminence Eels, 56-28.

Greencastle freshman boys loss to Danville

The Greencastle boys freshman basketball team lost to the Danville Warriors Tuesday night, 33-11.
