Donald Russell Blair

Donald Russell Blair, 82, Avon, formerly of Speedway, died Friday at his residence.

Born in Indianapolis, he was the son of Luthur Alburn and Elizabeth Nora (Nuetzman) Blair.

He attended the Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church and was retired from Heating and Cooling Maintenance at Eli Lilly, Indianapolis.

He married Anna D. (Daniels) Blair on June. 30, 1946. She survives.

Also surviving are daughter, Nancy Merriman and husband Keith, Fremont, Ohio; son, Mark Blair and wife Debbie, Avon; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Betty Frances Sills and Violet Jean McKamey, and stepfathers Carl Frederick "Pete" Hoffman and Robert C. Houston.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale with Pastor Paul Woodruff officiating. Burial will be at Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be rom 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
