Betty Lou Petrey

Betty Lou Petrey, 74, formerly of Manhattan, died Wednesday at Cloverleaf Health Care Facility, Knightsville.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Lelia (Brann) Fellows.

A 1950 graduate of Reelsville High School, she had worked as a weigh clerk at France Stone Co.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Brazil and had attended Community Bible Chapel, Manhattan.

She married Herbert Donald Brattain in 1950. He died in 1967. She married Dalva Petry on Dec. 13, 1973. He died in 2005.

Surviving are a son, Steve Brattain and wife Sandy, Brazil; sisters Shirley Brattain and husband Wendal, and Sandra Kay Hansen and husband Robert; brothers Jerry Fellows, Mike Fellows and wife Brenda, and Devin Fellows and wife Sharon; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at French Funeral Home, Brazil, with Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday.
