Ralph V. Martin

Ralph V. Martin, 74, Reelsville, died Tuesday at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born in Parke County, he was the son of Hobert E. and Laura Viola (May) Martin. He attended Bridgeton Schools in Parke County.

He was an United States Army veteran having served in the Medical Corp. from 1953-1955. He also worked in maintenance repair with Lonestar Industries for 41 years, retiring in 1992.

He married Helen I. Barnett on Dec. 21, 1957. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Florence Alexander and husband Harvey and Dorothy Snider and husband Bernard, both of Greencastle, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Robert Kumpf officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
