Virginia Ann Tellas

Virginia Ann Tellas, 80, Reelsville, died Monday at St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Brazil.

Born in Washington Township of Putnam County, she was the daughter of Harvey Paul and Alma Marie (Dreher) Neese.

A homemaker, she had been employed at Paper Art in Indianapolis, as a nurse's aide at Knightsville Nursing Home, and at Columbia Records in Terre Haute. She was a member of Big Walnut Baptist Church, Reelsville.

She married Donald L. Tellas on Oct. 28, 1949. He died April 12, 2006.

Surviving are three daughters, Penny Blair, Phoenix, Ariz., Patty Jerving and husband Douglas, Milwaukee, Wis., and Donna Tellas, Reelsville; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Nellie Marie Hammond.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor Mike Goss officiating.

Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday.
