The City of Greencastle has planned the following projects for the spring/summer season:

-- Streets on the list to be repaved this year include Locust Street from Seminary to the dead end; Washington Street between Bloomington and Wood;West Seminary Street from Indiana to Jackson ; Fawnview from Indianapolis Road to Shadowlawn; and Barnaby Mill Road (formerly Frazier Street behind the old Kroger on North Jackson Street).

-- $75,000 has been budgeted for sidewalk repairs and construction this summer. The city is also investigating a cost share program that would allow property owners to pay for half of their sidewalk and the city would pay for the other half. The city may invest an additional $25,000 for the cost share program.

-- The Public Works Department is planning to work on storm drains as well this summer.

The Cloverdale INDOT subdistrict has planned the following road projects for the spring/summer season:

-- Ind. 75 two miles north of New Winchester, Hendricks County -- replacement of one-lane bridge. Road is currently closed to traffic and will be closed until July 1.

-- U.S. 40 at Stilesville, Hendricks County -- all four lanes of highway will be resurfaced from the Mill Creek Bridge to the east edge of Stilesville. Lanes will be restricted at times, but the road will remain open throughout the project. Work scheduled to begin April 1 and continue through June 15.
