Janice "Jan" Smith, 77, Danville, died Sunday at Hendricks Regional Rehabilitation.

Born in Danville, she was the daughter of Cecil W. and Mildred L. (Russell) Morphew.

She was a homemaker and of Christian faith.

She was married to Don W. Phillips, who preceded her in death. She then married Ervin Smith, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors are sons John Phillips, Greencastle, Dave Phillips, Martinsville, Mark Phillips, Dana, and Eric Phillips, Camby; daughters Penny Gordon, Lewis, and Vicki Johnson, Fowler; sisters Sherry Farmer, Danville, and Karen Northrop, Clermont; brother Carl Morphew, Burgin, Ky.; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and brother, Terry Morphew.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, with Pastor Max Downs officiating. Burial will be at the Danville South Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
