Stanley M. Johansen

Stanley M. Johansen, 78, died Sunday at Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencas-tle.

Born in Winneconne, Wis., he was the son of Samuel and Selma (Williams) Johansen.

He was a truck driver for Texas Eastern, retiring in 1988. He was discharged from the U.S. Army in 1952 and had previously lived in Brownsburg.

He married Mary M. Spurgeon on July 7, 1952, in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death on April 9, 1988.

Survivors include son Billy Johansen, Greencastle; brother Lee Johansen, Mountain, Wis.; sister Ethyl Mae Cowling, Oshkosh, Wis., and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Brownsburg Cemetery, Brownsburg. Visitation is from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at David A. Hall Mortuary, Pittsboro.
